Welcome to Renance. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Renance platform, including our website, applications, APIs, and AI-powered financial tools (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are
Renance, Inc. ("Renance," "we," "us") provides an AI-first finance platform that helps businesses understand their financial data, monitor risk, and make informed decisions. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Renance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If you're using Renance on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. Renance is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account that you could have prevented.
One person or entity per account. Sharing login credentials across multiple users requires a Team or Enterprise plan.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the platform
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without written consent
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without authorization
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the platform
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
5. Financial Data & AI Insights
Renance processes financial data you provide to generate AI-powered insights, risk assessments, and recommendations. Important things to understand:
Not Financial Advice. Renance is an analytical tool, not a licensed financial advisor. AI-generated insights are informational only and should not be the sole basis for financial, investment, or business decisions. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
Accuracy. While we work hard to ensure accuracy, AI-generated outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or incomplete analysis. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all insights before acting on them.
Your Data, Your Responsibility. The quality of insights depends on the quality of data you provide. Renance is not responsible for outputs based on inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated financial data.
6. Subscription & Payments
Renance offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Free Trial. If offered, free trials convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless canceled beforehand.
Upgrades & Downgrades. Plan changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Downgrades may result in loss of access to certain features.
Refunds. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on annual plans. Monthly plans are non-refundable but can be canceled at any time to prevent future charges.
Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your subscription.
7. Intellectual Property
The Renance platform — including its design, code, AI models, branding, documentation, and content — is owned by Renance, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.
You retain full ownership of all financial data and content you upload to Renance. By using the platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely to provide and improve the Service for your account.
8. Uptime & Availability
We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance. Renance is not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control, including third-party service outages, natural disasters, or cyberattacks.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Renance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Renance in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Renance, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your access to the Service will continue until the end of your current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or if we discontinue the Service. In the event of discontinuation, we will provide at least 90 days' notice and the ability to export your data.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, CA, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association — except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
